Lyme Disease Litter by RemySwan Lyme Disease Litter by RemySwan
So, I love Giant Microbes (I have a small collection). On ebay, there was a seller who had used the Lyme Disease microbes to promote Lyme Disease awareness and education. The lot included fourteen standard size microbes and one Gigantic one for a pretty good price. :) After they got here, I decided to do a photoshoot with them and an old dog bed, keeping with the idea that they were a litter (blaming this on not sleeping the night before).

I think they're darling. :) Expect more images of them (and possibly of the rest of my microbe family)!

I love Giant Microbes. I don't have this one yet. Just started a collection.  I only have four and some of the primordial putty ones.  Great find.

I've got quite a collection. :) The Flu was my first one, though. I've also got the Fat Cell, Bird Flu, Swine Flu, Black Death, Cholera, Sleeping Sickness, Chagas, Ebola, Giardia, Crab Louse, Flea, and the Lyme Disease.

Awesome.  The Flu was my first too and I think will always be my fave. I just got T4 Bacteriophage and Gangrene.  So only four so far but it's slowly growing.

I'm planning on ordering the T4 at some point because it looks so cool, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. I also really want to get the TB one, but my ultimate goal is to collect them all.

Good luck with that then.  I don't want all of them but I do want most of them. :D

Well, there's a few I don't want (the mosquito--though I might get that for my mom as a joke, the flies and the ants.) The maggot & the bedbug are cute. I might also maybe want mange. :) Which is funny to randomly say to people when they ask you what your interests are: "So, what is an interesting fact about you?" "I collect diseases!" or just "I have [insert disease here]"!, said in the most cheerful voice possible. Now that I think about it, that would have been really fun to use in the icebreaker questions for my peer group here at school. :) I might get the chance tomorrow. We do a lot of icebreaker questions and games for new student orientation.

Yes I have had some very funny conversations about the ones I just got. :XD: That's a good idea. Maybe bring a small one so you can prove what you're saying for those that won't get the joke.

I'll probably get one when I go home for Christmas break since I already have my mom sending me a lot of stuff that I forgot or just didn't bring. I definitely want to introduce the group to the microbes. :)

Until I saw the title, I thought these were snakes.

Nope, not snakes. :) My mom would've freaked out if they were.

Not real snakes, obviously. Stuffed toy snakes.

Haha, I love this :D

I've got quite the collection of Giant Microbes myself, though I don't actually have Lyme Disease yet. Your photo makes me want one though, it'll be next on my list!

Thank you. :) I have a small collection (Sleeping Sickness, Chagas, Black Death, Flu, Bird Flu, Swine Flue, Cholera, and a Fat Cell). :) Glad to know my photo has helped encourage someone to adopt a Lyme Disease.

I'd love to get a large one like yours and wear it like a scarf :P

Are you going to post a photo of the whole gang? I'm thinking I might take a snapshot of mine when the new ones I've ordered get here ^^

Yeah, eventually I'll take a few pictures of the rest of the gang (individual photoshoots and group ones). :) I might get around to taking their photos this weekend some time, though I might wait until I order a few more. I've got a long list of Giant Microbes that I want to buy.

What ones do you have and which ones did you order? :)

For Christmas, my friends got Giant Microbes from me: a bookworm (because she didn't want a virus or disease), a waterbear (because at the time the lab rat wasn't available or she would've got that one), and a sperm cell (because that one is cute).

You have quite the collection. :) The heartworm's really cute! (They're all cute, but the heartworm is one of my favorites)
